Sometimes the best location for a class in not the classroom – sometimes you just have to go where the action is! If you’re going to study about the Hebrews wandering in the desert, why not do it surrounded by sand dunes? If you want to read about God’s heart for the poor, why not head to some of the poorest neighborhoods in the world? We like getting out there and learning about stuff firsthand – we think that you do too! Staff and students enjoy taking out-trips throughout the year – some for several weeks at a time.
Over the years we’ve visited a lot of different countries and even got to know our own a lot better – it’s crazy how many opportunities there are for us to do God’s work! In fact, one thing we’ve discovered is that it is the job of every believer to be God’s people wherever we are. This is so much more than an identifying statement – we are to be God’s personal representatives in all situations! This has become the focal point of the trips as we look for new possibilities and places every year to grow and serve.
